What is Stevia, is it safe?

Stevia is a sweetener and sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana.

The active compounds of stevia are steviol glycosides (mainly stevioside and rebaudioside), which have up to 150 times the sweetness of sugar, are heat-stable, pH-stable, and not fermentable. These steviosides have a negligible effect on blood glucose, which makes stevia attractive to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets.

Stevia now approved by FDA, European Union and Japan and it save for human used.

Are any of Karniel’s products genetically modified?

Do you use preservatives in your product?

There is no preservative in our product as we declare in the ingredients panel on the pack.

Where does the lecithin used in some of your products come from?

It’s derived from soybeans. Lecithin is a very common emulsifier in a wide range of foods. It’s also commonly sold in health food stores and supermarkets as a dietary supplement.

What is the difference between ‘Best Before’ and ‘Use By’?

‘Best Before’ is the recommended shelf life of the product; it indicates when the product should be eaten by to ensure it is fresh. ‘Use By’ means it must be eaten on or by that date for product safety reasons.
